The RHL Weston Beach Race is world renowned, with riders from all over the United Kingdom and abroad competing on its legendary 6 mile track. This iconic event sees both amateurs and professionals competing alongside each other, with survival being as great an achievement as winning. The event is a three day festival of racing and entertainment, with promotional/trade/hospitality areas and exhibitions for all the family to enjoy. 7th - 9th October. In 1964, a new phenomenon exploded onto the dingy British streets. It was the essence of all that was cool. It was Mod. Mods stuck two fingers up at the class-ridden society and its dull redundant culture. They were working-class free spirits who rode sexy streamlined Italian Vespas or Lambrettas. 8th October. Featuring the music of the Small Faces, including an arsenal of brilliant hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, All Or Nothing, Tin Soldier, Lazy Sunday, Here Comes The Nice and Itchycoo Park. 30th - 2nd October. The Somerset Carnivals are highly regarded as the largest illuminated procession in the world. The carnival carts are designed and built by dedicated carnival clubs around the West Country. Grand PierGrand Pier Bierkeller Night
The Grand Pier are hosting a German Bierkeller night with live music and entertainment from the fantastic five-piece Bavarian Style Oompah Band the ‘Die Heidelberger Boys’. The Die Heidelberger Boys’ will be performing a crazy show of well known German Marches, Waltzes and Polkas mixed in with a host of popular British sing-a-long favourites played in an Oompah style, and all with accompanying audience actions and bucket loads of beer and hilarity.
