Bridgwater Fair 2026

The historic Bridgwater Fair runs from Wednesday, September 30 to Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St Matthews Field (TA6 7HD) in Somerset. This nearly 800-year-old event features a traditional one-day horse fair on opening Wednesday, hundreds of market stalls, and a full outdoor funfair along West Street. Bridgwater Fair attracts crowds from far a field and is recognised as the largest fair in the South West with roughly 40,000 visitors each year. The funfair on St Matthews Field, TA6 7HD is organised by the Showman’s Guild with Bridgwater Town Council organising the market elements of the event. Entry is free

Then stop by the Farm Shop to pick the perfect pumpkin from the patch and take advantage of the seasonal photo opportunities! Follow the trail around Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, crack the clues and discover some of the surprising ways animals use poo in their everyday lives. Choose your perfect pumpkin from over 30 varieties of pumpkins and gourds! Wander through the patch, find your favourite and get into the autumn spirit. Join the Wizard Academy this Half Term at Puxton Park! From 26th October – 1st November, Puxton Park is transforming into a world of spells, surprises, and wizardry! Complete the trail to receive a reward badge. Join us in the arts and crafts room for some spellbinding activities.
